Celebrations of Love

A1 Our Rejoicing Wish 1
For millenniums, the white dove has been a symbol of peace, new beginnings, fidelity, and true love. Doves choose one partner and mate for life or until in death they do part.
As a sign of their commitment ___________ and __________ are going to release two single doves to symbolize their love and unity.
A2 Our Rejoicing Wish 2
For millenniums, the white dove has been a symbol of peace, new beginnings, fidelity, and true love. Doves choose one partner and mate for life until in death they do part.
As a sign of their commitment __________ and __________ are going to release two single doves to symbolize their love and unity.
Shortly thereafter, more pure white doves will be released to join the love and unity pair in the sky. These doves will represent the blessings, prayers, and best wishes from their family and friends accompanying them on their new path together as Husband and Wife.
_________ and __________ , we wish for you that your new life together would be everlasting, meaningful and richly rewarding.
May your marriage continue with all of the enduring qualities that the Wings of Wonder Doves represent.
A3 "On Wings of Love"
These white birds are a symbol of a public confession of true love. Spreading news for all to see, this marriage is made of Peace, Harmony and Unity. White winged messengers, set free today, are sent with blessings that will never fade away. (Bride) and (Groom) are now going to release these two pure white doves. The Doves will fly upwards and may circle above us a few times, then fly home together as a pair. This symbolizes our newly-wed couple setting off on their life together, in harmony. (Bride) and (Groom), we pray that your life together will be prosperous in spirit, soul and body. May your marriage carry with it all the wonderful qualities of the Holy Spirit that the White Dove represents.
A4 The Wonder of A Wish
The two of you will fly together
and begin your lives anew,
On this wondrous day that was
made just for the two of you.

The wonder of these snow white wings
will sound from heaven above,
and send their blessings and announcement,
of your unending love.
A5 The Legend of the Doves
Once the Lord of Heaven chose two doves,
Both young and fair,
And told them of a very special journey
they would share..

"Go now upon the earth and seek two hearts
Where you may dwell,
And there shall I surely come
And make my home with you as well.
We'll join the two and make them one,
A husband and his wife,
My spirit will endow their love
With everlasting life."

Today the doves still bring
The sacred promise from above
To those whose hearts are open
To the miracle of love.

A6 Our Love Testament
As you begin your new journey as husband and wife, let this pair of doves symbolize the love and devotion that will grow through your years together. The memory of these two of Nature's creatures, who bond together for life, will serve as inspiration as you both go forth traveling a path started by two and combining as one. So as with the dove's nature, so a never ending love for one another.
A7 Two Doves
Two doves meeting in the sky
Two loves hand in hand, eye to eye
Two parts of a loving whole
Two hearts and a single soul
Two stars shining big and bright
Two fires bringing warmth and light
Two songs played in perfect tune
Two flowers growing into bloom
Two doves gliding in the air
Two loves free without a care.

A8 Eyes

Our eyes met, my heart just knew
my soul was meant for only you
you share my goals, my dreams,
my fears we'll send a prayer of thanks to God above,
a symbol of our faith,
the white winged dove.
As they soar overhead then fly away
all will remember our wedding day
A9 (Bride) and (Groom) are now going to release
these two pure white doves.

The Doves will fly upwards and circle above us a
few times, then fly home together as a pair.

This symbolizes our newly wed couple setting
off on their life together, in harmony.

(Bride) and (Groom), we pray that your life
together will be prosperous in spirit, soul and body.

May your marriage carry with it all the wonderful qualities
of the Holy Spirit that the White Dove represents.
A10 Two

Two hands to hold onto forever
Two arms to be embraced by eternally
Two eyes to gaze into for always
Two lips to kiss so passionately
Two souls fused by commitment
Two lives intertwined by God
Two hearts joined by the purest love.

May the two doves you release today
symbolize the beauty of the life you will
share together as husband and wife.
We wish you all the best, (bride & groom),
God Bless You!

Celebrations of Life

B1 Do Not Weep

Do not stand by my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am the thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints in the snow; I am the sunlight
on ripened grain, I am the cool autumn rain.

When you awaken with morning’s hush, I am the swift,
uplifting rush of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

So, do not stand by my grave and cry,
for there only my body lies. Instead feel the
light from above and know that I can feel your love.

B2 I am Free

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God laid for me
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day, to laugh,
to love, to work or play.
Tasks undone must stay that way
I’ve found that peace at the close of the day.

If parting has left a void, then fill it
with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times,
A loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me,
God wants me now, He set me free.

B3 The Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon,
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive --
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

B4 John 14:1-6

Let not your heart be troubled;
ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father’s house are many mansions:
if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come
again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am , there ye may be also.

And wither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not wither thou
goest; and how can we know the way?

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

B5 To All Parents

“I’ll lend you for a little while
A child of mine,” he said,

“It may be six or seven years--
Or twenty -two or three,

But will you, till I call him back,
Take care of him for me?

He’ll bring his charm to gladden you,
And, should his stay be brief,

You’ll have his lovely memories
As solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from life return,

But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.

I’ve looked the wide world over
In my search for teachers true,

And from the throngs that crown life’s lanes,
I have selected you.

Now will you give him all your love,
Nor think the labor vain,

Nor hate Me when I come to call
To take him back again?”

I fancied that I hard them say,
“Dear Lord Thy Will be done,

For all the joy the child shall bring,
The risk of grief we’ll run.

We’ll shelter him with tenderness,
We’ll love him while we may,

And, for the happiness we’ve known,
Forever grateful stay.

But, should the angels call him
Much sooner than we’ve planned,

We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand.”

B6 An Old Irish Benediction

“May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again -
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

B7 Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. “LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why, when I needed you most, you would leave me.”

The LORD replied, “My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”

B8 Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can...and the wisdom to know the difference.

B9

With the Rustle of Wings

With the rustle of wings

I’ll take your memories along

As I soar up to the heavens

From where they just played that song.

Just part your hands open

As you feel my beating heart.

My soul is alive as I

Now depart.

With the rustle of wings,

I’ll enter the pearly gates.

I’ll be with family from long ago and

For you I will wait.

Always keep this feather close

As a reminder of my souls release

And in every whisper of the wind you’ll hear

the rustle of my wings.

B10

The Final Flight

In Loving Memory of (your loved ones name)

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free,

I’m following the path God laid for me.

I took his hand when I heard his call,

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,

To laugh, to love, to work, to play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way,

I’ve found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,

Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My Life’s been full, I savored much,

Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch,

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,

Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me,

God wanted me now, He set me free.

B11

Carry Me Home

My loved ones do not cry

And worry of me

For like the dove

I have been set free.

God has called me

To my mansion on high

Just there among the clouds

In the deep blue sky.

I have no pain

No suffering to do

I have been called home

And I know you will too.

So beat hard and fast

Little wings off white

And carry me home

Before the night

B12

God Saw You Getting Tired

God saw you getting tired

When a cure was not to be.

So He wrapped His arms around you,

And whispered, “Come unto me”.

You didn’t deserve what you went through,

And so He gave you rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful,

He only takes the best.

So when I saw you sleeping,

So peaceful and free from pain.

I could not wish you to come back,

to suffer that all again.

B13

Mother and Child

 Our loved ones do not weep and worry of us….

We’re being carried to the arms of our precious Jesus.

Just my baby and me on the wings of a dove…

The angels are waiting in the heavens above.

To take us to our mansion just beyond those pearly gates…

To help us get settled in where there we will wait.

For our loved ones to join us above in heavens nursery…

to see the miracle of eternal life and feel the power of Gods mercy.

B14

Little Dove

On the wings of this white dove

I’ll set your spirit free.

Up into the big deep sky,

to heaven, where you’ll be.

I know God has a plan for us,

he wants us by his side.

But it is hard for us to understand

when we are left behind.

Little dove, help lift our hearts

as we watch you go,

God is there if we just ask,

because He loves us so.

B15 Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die: a time to
plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather
stones together; a time to embrace,
and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war, and a time of peace.

B16

I am Still With you

If it seems that I am far away on this empty and solemn day,

Just open your heart and know it’s true,

that I am still right here with you.

If during the day things are going wrong,

please don’t feel sad and alone.

Just open your heart and know it’s true,

that I am still right here with you.

When nighttime falls and the day is done.

If you are feeling alone and sleep won’t come,

Just open your heart and know it’s true,

that I am still right here with you.

Close your eyes, and feel the warm embrace.

Sleep peacefully in the wings of grace.

If sadness finds you in the morning light, if you feel alone,

don’t give up trying!

Hold this feather close and know it’s true,

that I am always here with you.
